Health and Safety Training

Centre LifeLink EMS offers extensive health and safety training courses that are open to the public each month. We offer monthly CPR certifications for various levels, first aid, ACLS/PALS, work safety training courses, and specialty training courses such as our Emergency Medical Technician course, which is offered 3 times a year.

Centre LifeLink EMS also operates the Phlebotomy Institute of Central PA, with two programs each year. For information on the phlebotomy program, please click here.

We are happy to accommodate group classes for medical offices, businesses, churches, clubs, etc. Please contact our training department if you would like to schedule a group (usually 6 or more people) class.

  • BLS Provider Initial Training

    The American Heart Association BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies and to, give high-quality chest compression, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. This course is for EMTs, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also must complete a written exam.

    After successful completion of this course you will receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider card. This certification is good for 2 years from the completion date of the course.

  • HeartSaver CPR/ AED

    This course, titled American Heart Association (AHA) HeartSaver CPR/ AED, is designed for those that may need to have CPR and AED training as part of their job duties, such as first aid response team, sports coach, or group leader.  This course will cover CPR  for adult, child, and infant age groups and the proper use of AED’s for each age group also.  Each successful participant will receive a certification good for 2 years from the AHA.  This course includes instruction, hands-on practice, and examination.  Successful completion of each area is required to receive certification.

  • BLS Provider Renewal

    This course is intended for those currently certified by AHA at the BLS Provider level, needing to recertify the CPR credential!

    After successful completion of this course you will receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider card. This certification is good for 2 years from the completion date of the course.
