October 14, 2014—Centre LifeLink EMS has been re-accredited for the 5th consecutive three year term (since 1999) by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) for its compliance with national standards of excellence. With this achievement, Centre LifeLink is only one of six accredited ambulance services in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and in the top 1% of services in the Country.

Third Annual Safe and Seen in the Ballpark

Centre LifeLink will be hosting the third annual Safe and Seen in the Ballpark with the State College Spikes and B94.5.

Families are invited to enjoy safe trick or treating throughout the ballpark suites. Suites will be decorated and staffed by local non-profits. Seasonal games and crafts will also be available along the concourse.

2014 Arts Festival Weekend Call Report

DSC_0774July 15, 2014— Centre LifeLink EMS had a busy Arts Festival weekend with 88 total calls between Friday and Sunday. 43% of these calls were alcohol related, and not included in that percentage were 19 injuries related to alcohol. Centre LifeLink staff noted, “We saw a lot of assaults over the weekend”.

The weekend was comparable to this past State Patty’s Day weekend, which resulted in 50 total calls, 48% of which were alcohol related.

Centre LifeLink Volunteer/Board Member Awarded Rotary Four-Way Test Award

rotary 4way testJuly 1, 2014–Centre LifeLink volunteer and board member Janet Zerbe received the State College Sunrise Rotary Club’s 2014 Four-Way Test Award. The Four-Way Test Award, presented to local emergency service volunteers, recognizes local fire and ambulance volunteers within the State College area whose daily volunteer activities epitomize the “Four-Way Test”.
