And indeed, Centre LifeLink is here to meet all of your emergency medical needs, and more. We are committed to being a partner with the communities we serve. The Centre LifeLink Health and Safety Training Center is committed to meeting the needs of individuals, churches, organizations and businesses throughout Centre County. As your partner in training, we offer experienced and certified trainers to meet the health and safety needs of all in our community.
TRAINING TOPICS:
American Heart Association Health Care Provider ADULT CPR FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER: This course teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR and the use of an AED. Participants also learn to give first aid for choking in the responsive victim. The course teaches how to recognize the signs of four major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest and foreign body/airway obstruction (FBAO) Cost: $50.00 and $40.00 for Renewal. This course is held the 2nd and 3rd Tuesday of every month.
American Heart Association Friends and Family Infant CPR: Presents information on the Pediatric Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants, prevention of the most common fatal pediatric injuries and reduction in the risk of sudden infant death syndrome. This course is highly recommended for new or expecting parents and other family members and caregivers of infants. Cost: $10.00. This course is held the 3rd Wednesday of every month.
BASIC ADULT FIRST AID: This American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) course teaches rescuers to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency EMS personnel arrive. Each student receives a small personal first aid kit with this course. Cost: $50.00. This course is held the 1st Wednesday of every month.
CPR and AED for the Community & Workplace: Also part of the ASHI curriculum, this course is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to give basic life support care in the community or workplace. Available in "Adult" and "Pediatric" modules. Cost: $30.00 (Includes CPR mask and book). The "Adult" course is held the 1st Tuesday of every month. The "Pediatric" version of this course is held as needed or scheduled.
CPR and First Aid Combo Program: Both from the ASHI curriculum, this provides a discount for groups or individuals wishing to take both courses together. This is either a full day or dual eveining course to cover both programs.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN: The course will provide basic training in all aspects of emergency medical care which an Emergency Medical Technician is permitted to provide. Test and certification provided through the PA Department of Health (PA State certified). Cost: $100.00
COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM Course (CERT): PEMA has contracted with Centre LifeLink to coordinate a disaster response and preparedness program called "Community Emergency Response Team". The course is offered to individuals, church groups, businesses and community groups throughout Centre County so that they will be able to provide emergency care to their neighbors in the event of a community disaster until professional help arrives. The information includes: Intro to CERT, Medical Operations I and II; Light Search & Rescue; Disaster Psychology, Incident Command and Fire Suppression. Cost: FREE
BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS: The Bloodborne Pathogens and Infectious Disease program is designed to educate participants on the many types of bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases to which they may be exposed. Cost: $25
